Why Our A2 Receivers Are Triple Pinned

When it comes to service rifle and high power competition, minor sight adjustments can have a serious impact on a shooter’s score. Criterion A2 upper receivers are specifically designed with the competitive shooter in mind, integrating a number of features that can help ensure a precise sight picture. One such feature is the triple pinned rear sight.

By running three pins through the rear sight assembly, Criterion is able to ensure minimal sight wobble when changing the windage and elevation settings on our A2 upper receivers. The process of triple pinning these uppers involves a relatively straightforward procedure that we carry out in-shop prior to assembly. These steps have been outlined in the below slideshow:
