I bought my sporterized 1917 decades ago as a deer rifle when it was all I could afford. It was a 3 inch at 100 yards gun. I long ago moved on to more accurate rifles so the Enfield lived at the back of the gun safe. But this year, mainly because of boredom, I pulled it out for a second look. Had Vintage Warpath install the Criterion .270 caliber barrel and I replaced the stock trigger with a Timney. The gun now easily shoots under one MOA.
