An excellent barrel. I built a P 14 from a drill rifle receiver. With the help of Xcaliber Gunsmithing out of Cottonwood, MN I now have an excellent shooting P 14. Many thanks.

I recently purchased one of these barrels ‘in the white’ for a Pattern 14 restoration project that I have been wanting to complete for some time. After having my barrel fitted to my receiver, I had the whole rifle professionally re-blued. With the repaired and refurbished stock, the rifle looks like a work of art. At the range, I am firing bulls-eye groups at 100 yards that are the size of an orange with 150 grain FMJ .303 rounds. When I switched to 180 grain bullets, my group was lower by about 3 inches, but my groups were the size of an egg. It astounds me sometimes to thing that I have in my possession something that has not been seen in almost 100 years…..a match-grade Patten 1914. I will be looking forward to purchasing another barrel soon to complete my collection of a restored Eddystone, a restored Winchester and a restored Remington Pattern 14.

I ordered 4 for a customers projects and a p14 of my own. Upon arrival the barrels were uniformly phosphated and looked like quality. All machining is top notch. I installed all four to the timing marks (none required any machining). To my surprise all 4 headspaced and chambered a live round without a reamer! This may not be the case all the time but im pleased with what I received. I will continue to purchase barrels for many of my future projects!
