Description
Criterion manufactured Ruger Precision Rifle pre-fit barrels are now available for custom order. Each Criterion pre-fit barrel is hand lapped, features a polished chamber, and is held to match grade tolerances. Using Ruger’s proprietary barrel nut design, these barrels can be easily swapped out using only an AR-15 barrel wrench, vise, and the appropriate headspace gauge set.

I ordered a .260 Remington barrel from CBI for my Ruger Precision Rifle. After installing it, I finally got a chance to see how it performs at range. Using 130 grain factory ammo or reloads, it shoots to 1000 yards boringly consistent. Max I have been able to shoot it is 1277 yards and hits on a 9" dia plate were doable. Recently, I was able to shoot it to 1210 yards with a truly sick 3 round group. This barrel is awesome!

March 2017 I bought a RP65CR-26ST barrel to replace my shot out factory barrel (~2500 rounds). The barrel replacement was a struggle to remove the factory barrel nut, but after installing the Criterion barrel it was worth it. At 300 yards I shot a .950" five shot group and posted a photo of the target it on Ruger’s "bragging post" which is no longer on their website. This past summer I was amazed how much fun and accurate this barrel is. Shooting 1000 yard steel is easy with this barrel. Looks great, shoots great. My second RPR: I am glad to see that Criterion offers a .223 barrel for RPR’s because I now own a 5.56 NATO "target" version that is no longer posted on Ruger’s website. After I burn this barrel out, I know where to obtain a replacement. I highly recommend a Criterion barrel, great products!
