M14/M1A MEDIUM WEIGHT BARREL

Our M14 Medium Weight barrels are an excellent choice for competition shooters, collectors, and enthusiasts. The M14 was originally designed to replace the American-classic M1 Garand. Adopted by the United States military in 1959, the M14 was weapon of choice until being replaced by the M16. These mid-weight barrels feature more material surrounding the chamber for superior heat absorption and are manganese phosphate finished for corrosion resistance. All milling operations are completed, and the receiver threads are properly timed for installation. These barrels are honed, hand lapped, and come standard with a 7.62x51mm NATO chamber. Our M14 medium weight barrels are available with a .010” short chamber or chrome-lined with a finished chamber. Each barrel will require headspacing and installation by a qualified gunsmith.
